Careers
Software Sales Executives
- Are you an engineering sales professional who enjoys selling disruptive technology with a strong value proposition … and almost no competition ?
- RobustPhysics seeks experienced engineering software sales executives to lead our rapid growth into largely unexploited segments of the $11 billion electronic design automation (EDA) market and $2.5 billion electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) market. Our entirely new class of simulation technology has the potental to fundamentally change the way the EDA world does EMC engineering. So you will progress quickly from selling seats to EMC specialists, to proposing corporation-wide solutions to C-level managers seeking new and more efficient product development processes.
- Both US domestic sales and international sales positions are available. Travel to conferences, exhibits and face-to-face meetings with clients will be required, balanced with effective use of on-line sales and marketing channels. We are a start-up, so contributions to marketing strategy, technical marketing collateral and development of our sales management process will be welcome and suitably rewarded.
- A college degree in psychology, engineering, or physics would be appropriate, but we will happily consider equivalent qualifications or a proven track record. Competitive compensation and employee benefits are offered, along with the lifestyle, excitement and up-side opportunities than only a San Diego, CA start-up company can provide. Applicants should be US citizens, permanent residents or otherwise legally permitted to work in the US Apply to careers@robustphysics.com.
Scientific Software Developers
Are you a software developer interested in NASA-level engineering / physics simulation … and ready to contribute to the launch of a new engineering software product ? Would you enjoy the satisfaction of authoring a disrurptive new technology application that could very quickly be adopted by a large number of aerospace, automotive and consumer electronics designers worldwide ?
RobustPhysics seeks talented software professionals to contribute to the design and development of our engineering simulation applications. Our first product Stochastica is a Windows, Linux application with a custom graphical user interface (GUI), a robust data management structure and API / integration of computational software modules developed by electrical engineers and researchers on the team. The successful candidate will preferably have experience with Qt, Python and C++. Experience with 3D Mechanical CAD kernels - such as OpenCascade, FreeCAD, Parasolids, etc - would also be relevant.
A software engineering degree is desirable, but we will happily consider equivalent qualifications or a proven track record. Compeittive compensation and employee benefits are offered, along with the lifestyle, excitement and up-side opportunities than only a San Diego CA start-up company can provide. Applicants should be US citizens, permanent residents or otherwise otherwise legally permitted to work in the US

EMC Design Engineers
If you are an experienced electromagnetic compatipility (EMC) engineer, an electronics engineer or a cable harness engineer, you will know that there’s presently almost no such thing as an “EMC Design Engineer”. However … read on. RobustPhysics’ entirely new class of EMC simulation software Stochastica is about to change all of that.
We are seeking talented IEEE engineers to demonstrate the successful application of our statistcal wave physics technology over an interesting spectrum of applications and indsutries. Making technical presentations and software demonstrations to clients and at engineering conferences, and technically directing client technology transfer projects, you will enjoy being recognized as one of the pioneering leaders in the new field of EMC design.
The anticapted candidates will have at least 3-5 years solid experience in electromagnetic field simulation, EMC testing, RF/microwave electronics design and/or cable harness engineering. Some travel to conferences, exhibits and face-to-face meetings with clients will be required, balanced with effective use of on-line channels for technical presentations and project management.
A Masters or degree in EE engineering is desirable, but we will happily consider equivalent qualifications and experience. Competitive compensation and employee benefits are offered, along with the lifestyle, excitement and up-side opportunities than only a San Diego CA start-up company can provide. Applicants should be US citizens, permanent residents or otherwise legally permitted to work in the US

EMI Signal Integrity Engineer
If you are an electromagnetics engineer or physicist looking for a stimulating applied research career developing new simulation-based design software, then RobustPhysics might have the position for you. Our electromagnetics research group seeks a new team member to anchor our unique statistical wave physics approach (https://www.robustphysics.com) to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and signal integrity (SI) on high speed digital interconnects.
Our customers are pushing high speed digital communications to such extraordinary Gbps data rates, that they need our Stochastica simulation software tools to design for signal integrity, in the presence of complex EMI environments. The EMI Signal Integrity Engineer / Scientist that we are seeking will have interests, qualifications and experience it at least some of the following domains
• high speed digital communication protocols, physical layers (PHY), modulation schemes
• transmission line theory; conductor radiation theory for interconnect cable, shielding and connector(s)
• statistical modelling of jitter, voltage noise and EMI impact on digital signal Eye Diagram and probability density function of bit error rate (BER).
Your day-to-day work is this role will consist:
• implementing your statistical physics simulation solutions in prototype software (Python, Matlab, Mathematica)
• running experimental validation / QA test cases
• writing mathematical specifications for software development in our Stochastica product
• authoring technical papers for journals and engineering conferences
A PhD in relevant engineering discipline(s) or equivalent physics, applied mathematics qualifications and experience is a minimum requirement. Competitive compensation and employee benefits are offered, along with the lifestyle, excitement and up-side opportunities that only a San Diego CA start-up company can provide. We offer a flexible remote / office work environment … including an office that is located only one mile from Torrey Pines surf beach and not much further to Torrey Pines Golf Course and UC San Diego. Applicants should be US citizens, permanent residents or US Persons suitably qualified to work in the United States.
